Big Rock Equities’ Team is a truly vertically integrated real estate investment team. Our team is positioned to manage our anticipated growth over the next five years. We are a nationally scaled asset, property, and construction management team. We have staffed four fully operational teams that include:

Executive Affiliates
(EA)

EA operates as the back of house and administrative arm for all of Big Rock Equities’ team and assets. Big Rock Equities will continue to grow and succeed from a best-in-class administrative, acquisition, and sourcing network, which has been cultivated over the past 34 years and operates through EA.

Executive Hotel Management
(EHM)

EHM owns, operates, and manages a growing hospitality portfolio currently with three hotels including Holiday Inn Knoxville, Baton Rouge Crown Plaza, and Holiday Inn Baton Rouge.

National Apartment Management
(NAM)

NAM currently manages over 4,312 units across 6 states. Since its founding in the 1980’s, the company has managed over 25,000 units across 80 communities in 19 states. NAM has personnel present at each property in addition to a full corporate support team based in Chicago and regional offices in both Las Vegas and Atlanta.

Team

Since our inception in 1970, our team, while acting as the managing partner on our assets, has never lost money for our investors. We pride ourselves on this track record and continue to work for our investors with every transaction.

Our unique ability is in identifying and acquiring commercial assets that have a compelling value add component and can be acquired at an attractive basis relative to competing properties.

We create value in our projects by rapidly executing renovation plans, driving top line revenue and reducing operating expenses to drive NOI growth. The Big Rock Equities’ team has over ten decades of combined real estate and private investment experience and has completed hundreds of commercial and residential transactions.

Big Rock Equities - Executive Team

President & Managing Partner

Evan Rayman

Evan is the President of Big Rock Equities, LLC and General Counsel and Vice President of Executive Hotel Management, LLC. Mr. Rayman’s responsibilities include finance and acquisitions, as well as day-to-day management of hotel and apartment communities. Mr. Rayman received a B.A. from Northwestern University and a J.D. from Northern Illinois University. He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association.

Vice President & Chief Operating Officer:

Jeffrey Ratzer

Jeffrey graduated with a B.A. from SUNY, Albany and a J.D. from the University of Miami. In 1994, Mr. Ratzer was named Vice President of Acquisitions and Finance, and he is a partner in  many  of  the properties  managed business from the ground up, managing and/or renovating apartments nationwide. He is the Chief Operating Officer of National Apartment Management and he directly oversees the operations of National Apartment  Management’s western region.

Chief Financial Officer

Alan J. Feldman

Alan is the CFO of Big Rock Equities and oversees all accounting, tax, and other financial matters. Alan has been with Big Rock’s team since 1990. Mr. Feldman holds a B.A. from Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Treasurer:

Thomas Brewer CPA

Thomas has 20 years of experience in finance, payroll, insurance, taxes and cash management. Prior to joining Executive Affiliates, Inc. in 2005, Thomas had worked as an Auditor for a public accounting firm. He holds Master’s degree in Accounting and Financial Management from Keller Graduate School of Management.

Vice President Operations:

Terri Evans

Terri joined EAI in 1990 and has an integral part of the growth of our team. Terri’s had an exciting and diverse 40-year career working with developers and management organizations in Florida, California, Tennessee and Georgia, where Real estate licenses were obtained. During the span of her career, Terri has successfully completed new construction and lease-ups, disaster recovery, renovation projects, marketing, video, & website production, and is responsible for the daily operations of the residential portfolio. Terri was an integral part of developing  implementing & training of our proprietary, internet-based operating system. Certifications include, but are not limited to CAM, CAPS, WRT, AMRT, TCST, ASD. 

Chief Operating Officer

Jeffrey Ratzer

In addition to his Executive role at Big Rock Equities, Jeff is also the Chief Operating Officer of National Apartment Management and he directly oversees the operations of National Apartment Management’s western region.

Assistant Vice President:

Juli Stapleton

Juli oversees all multi-family operations for NAM’s Western Region. Juli joined the NAM team in 2002. Prior to joining NAM Juli was employed with the Spanos Corporation as Leasing Director since 1993.  Responsibilities included the oversight of opening new Apartment Communities, and obtaining the desired occupancy for mergers & acquisitions. Juli has exceptional experience in banking, real estate development, and management.

Executive Hotel Management (EHM) – Hospitality Asset Management

EVP & President Hotel Operations:

Edward Baker

Ed is a 1987 graduate of the University of Missouri, earning a BA in General Studies with an emphasis on business.  He began working with Executive Hotel Management in November of 1985, as the General Manager of the Hilton Hotel in Columbia, Missouri and oversaw the multiple expansions of the property and its transition to the Holiday Inn Brand.  In 1993, he assumed his current role of Executive Vice President with the company. 

Edward Baker has served on the Missouri Hotel and Motel Association State Board of Directors, serving two terms as President of the Board.  While on this board, he was part of the team that wrote a house bill which increased the tourism budget of the state without raising taxes or reallocating funds from other areas.

All hotels are fully staffed with necessary back and front of house positions.
