Big Rock Equities will continue to take a top-down approach for our investors. We take the time to intimately understand the strategic markets that we and our partners ultimately choose to invest in. Our team has actively worked in many of these markets for 30+ years. Our networks are established, and we are selective with the properties that we bring into the portfolio.

Our Goal at Big Rock Equities

Our goal is to create value in the assets that we target and we find that this is often derived from distressed sellers, inappropriate capital structures, significant capital needs and/or poor management resulting in underperformance in rent growth and operations.

Big Rock Equities is also a vertically integrated real estate company that already has an experienced team specializing in development, acquisition, and operations of commercial real estate. These additional team members allow us to not only target a larger array of opportunities but also allows us to evaluate different approaches to each investment.

Philosophy

Our value creation plan relies on a singular focus on owned assets, enabling a proven hands-on, systematic business plan implementation.

We avoid real estate assets with extensive non-accretive maintenance, while specializing in transforming late-stage value-add properties with key asset upgrades that generate core rent levels and significant ROIC.

Our expansion team is evaluating ground-up development projects in the single-family asset class in growth markets, and self-storage as a secondary investment asset. With the addition of these two new classes, the operations team and strategic partners have already identified suitable properties to build a regional portfolio.
